Happy Birthday to You Miss Rose...

Happy Birthday to my beautiful sweet girl Taylor Rose!!! I am so blessed to have two gorgeous and healthy children!  I am so excited to live my life and see them live theirs!  Taylor turned 1 on February 9th!  This day is very special to me!!  My Grandma (on my moms side) passed away on the same day a year before Taylor's arrival.  It is so ironic how Taylor was brought to us on that very same day.  We had planned on doing something for her birthday, but it really snuck up on us.  I went on a 3 day cruise with my girlfriends and then when I got back both kids had a HORRIBLE stomach flu (thank God Nate was going #2 in the toilet).  By the time they got healthy again her birthday was here.  We had a low key celebration.  I made dinner and my parents came over to sing and do cake(some presents too!!!).  On the following weekend I went to John's Incredible Pizza with Taylor's cousins and Karen's kids.  It was nice, although I would of liked to made a bigger deal out of her big #1, but I guess she doesn't know either way!

Here's to a FANTABULOUS 2010!!!

WOW Twenty ten already!!!
I just realized that I have not updated what Taylor is doing these days...she takes about 2 - 3 steps and then gets too weary and crawls "super fast!" She is quite the talker.  She says ma-ma, da-da, ba-ba, nigh-nigh, doggie but soulds like da-do.  Taylor waves and says HI or BYE!  She is so different than Nate in ever aspect.  I think its that girl vs. boy thing.  She sings in the car to the radio and climbs in Nates car and drives it around by pushing her feet...I don't even think Nate would get in and drive it till he was like 2 1/2.  Nathan would hardly chew just swallow right away.  She is a great chewer, savors every bite!  It is so funny seeing the differences between the two kids.  I took a bunch of pics of her and Nathan in his car!
I just can't believe Taylor will be ONE soon - where in the world has time gone?
Now onto a Nathan update

Nathan is absolutely obsessed with pooping in the toilet YAY!!!! I never thought the day would come.  I heard from almost every other mom out there and they kept giving me words of wisdom saying, "All of sudden he will decide and it'll just happen."  Those words were not very comforting everytime I went to go change a stinky diaper.  And then LOW and BEHOLD BAM it did happen just like that---what a trip.  One day he feared the porcelain ice berg---and just like that---the next day he adored the porcelain throne.  He gets so proud of seeing his work of art!  I never thought the day would come when I had company over and would call them all in to see my sons masterpiece in the toilet, but that day came!  Ahhhhhh the joys of parenthood!!!  Now we are going to save so much money in diapers!  He even gets up in the middle of the night to go pee---what a Saint!  Here is a picture of Nate in the bath tub with his cousin Joey to the left and Karen's son Wyatt to the right!  Those boys have a blast together!  I smell trouble in the future!

Christmas 2009

Christmas was amazing this year!  We celebrated Christmas our first time in our first home!  It was so nice to decorate this year!  Last year I was packing to move, so we had no decorations, or tree.  Nathan didn't seem to mind (or know any better).  This year he just kept asking me for a tree!  We went to get a tree and he picked it out!  It by far was the most PERFECT tree I have ever seen!

We went to go to the "dreaded pictures with Santa" and there was a store that had real looking dinosaurs and you could ride them for a dollar...of course Nate had to ride one.  When he actually got up on it he became a little weary!!!

I thought for sure when Taylor and Nate saw Santa it was going to be another one of "my experiences."  I took photos before just to get smiles.

And then I had a Christmas miracle---NEITHER KID CRIED!!! OMG

We spent Christmas Eve with my family and I had such an amazing time.  Nathan is so much fun now, he loves opening gifts, watching others open gifts, he actually got it!!!  Taylor enjoyed playing with the wrapping paper the most!  It was nice having all of the cousins together!

Taylor - Youngest cousin

And for all of you who know how I have been angsting over the "toywatch" for 2 years now...I got my watch for Christmas from Mike.  What a doll!!!!♥ ♥
Mrs. Claus must have been very good this year!
How cute are my kids!!!!????
What a ham!
And then there was Christmas morning at our house!
Nate was so excited, but he woke up and came and got us before he even went out to the living room!  I was so glad because I had my camera ready next to my night stand and I would have missed his reaction---BUT---I didn't!
And one year down just like that!
